Wheel Yoga Basics: Improve Your Postures On and Off the Mat

Wheel Yoga incorporates traditional yoga asanas with the use of the Yoga Wheel, a prop recently developed to aid us in our yoga practice. The Yoga Wheel allows us to create space in areas that are usually tight due to modern lifestyle.

Due to the shape and sturdiness of the wheel, we can use it to strengthen the core muscles, improve flexibility of the spine, and alleviate common back aches caused by poor postural habits. Thus, with regular practice, we increase body awareness and proper muscle engagement in our daily postures will come naturally to us.

As a prop in yoga practice, the wheel supports us in experiencing the sensitivity of a pose without overstraining our bodies. It can also assist us in getting into advanced poses. Suitable for all levels, the use of yoga wheel can vary widely depending on your intention.

In this 3-hour introductory session, we will explore the benefits and things to note in the practice of Wheel Yoga. A rejuvenating 75-min Wheel Yoga Practice is included. Equipped with a basic understanding of the Yoga Wheel, you can now develop a simple home practice sequence for yourself under the guidance of our trainer!

With appropriate use of the prop, let us discover, observe, and gently glide into the unknown spaces in our body and mind.
