WENDY CHAN/ Lead Trainer & Program Director

Wendy’s background and interest in eastern and western philosophy led her to explore and study the workings of the universe’s mind, body and subtle energies. JOANNE ANG / Dynamic Vinyasa Sequencing Co-Trainer

Joanne started her yoga practice as a form of workout to boost her immune system as she was leading a relatively sedentary lifestyle. Having dance as her co-curricular activity throughout her school days and being a biology teacher in her early career, she naturally grew attracted to yoga.

She saw a significant improvement in her health and state of mind through consistent practice, and yoga became more than just a workout – it became part of her lifestyle. With a healthier body, mind and soul, she has all the energy she needs to do the things she loves – travel, teach, cook, and do yoga!

When exposed to more profound wisdom about yoga, she was inspired to deepen her practice and took up her first 200-hr yoga teacher training. She has since enjoyed teaching and sharing yoga’s benefits tremendously. As a student, she believes strongly in enjoying her practice on the mat, which translates into her encouraging demeanour in her classes.

Certifications: E-RYT 500 (Yoga Alliance, US); 300-hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with All Yoga Training: Rocket Yoga with David Adame; Yin Yoga, Meridians and Anatomy with Annie Au; Handstands, Mobility and Movement with Seline Schmid; The Art of Adjustments with Vari Morales; Creativity in Motion and Sequencing methodology with Kristine Ragus; 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training with Tirisula Singapore; 50-hr Vinyasa Yoga Training with Tan Hee Boon, Pure Yoga Singapore; Yoga Anatomy & Myofascial Release Workshop with Dr Bryan Lau; Art of Adjustments Workshop with Vari Morales; Yin Yoga Immersion with Chris Su; Intensive Iyengar Yoga 10-day Retreat Rishikesh, Diwan Singh Bisht

GWEN TEO / Adaptive and Accessible/ Yin Yoga & the Five Elements Co-Trainer

Gwen always has an active lifestyle, even when juggling motherhood and full-time work and coping with the challenges of the modern corporate world. Upon sustaining injuries from her regular running, she realised she needed a more balanced approach to health and fitness. Her first yoga experience convinced her that yoga was the thing she needed to achieve that balance.

After more than ten years of practising yoga on and off to complement her running and fitness regime, she decided to take on yoga teacher training to deepen her understanding and share yoga with the people around her. She has seen first-hand how proper conditioning through yoga can help people with common joint pains, and she hopes to do the same through teaching yoga.

Gwen teaches Hatha & Yoga Therapy classes, emphasising building strength and flexibility and cultivating calmness in body and mind, both on and off the mat.

How many 200 hour training would have 3 instructors with one specially flying in to teach?! Highly recommended for people of all practice levels. You don’t have to be able to twist yourself into a pretzel to be a yoga teacher. I am looking forward to more excellent workshops in the near future!

Deneuve Shauna Tan

Eunice Chen

With so many YTTs available nowadays, people are really spoilt for choice and I’m glad I chose Yoga Seeds for the great, warm and real people behind it all and my fellow group of YTT-ers! While the 200hrs seemed daunting at first, very soon I was regretting that it couldn’t be longer LOL… Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to deepen and broaden their knowledge of yoga and looking to teach!

Andrea Ng

The 200hr Yoga Teacher Training was the most meaningful experience I could have asked for. Lead Instructor Wendy is a wonderful teacher and is extremely generous with her knowledge. The program curriculum is also very comprehensive and well thought-out, featuring the specialised skillsets of two other very talented teachers as well.

At the beginning I just wanted to go deeper into my practice and this journey was more than that! I went deeper into myself. I’ve discovered that yoga was more than a passion and that I wanted to share it with people! Today I am a yoga teacher (so proud to say that) and still a student thanks to Yoga Seeds ❤️.
