OUR KARMA YOGA PROJECTS

The Yoga Seeds team is a big advocate of Karma Yoga. We are actively involved in non-profit organisations, charity and cause-worthy initiatives to give back to the community and the underprivileged as much as we can. Our founder, Wendy Chan, is one of the ambassadors of Yoga Gives Back, an organisation empowering the women and children in India through yoga classes. She volunteers regularly and is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusivity in yoga.

PAY WHAT YOU WISH YOGA

Donation based classes for the community

A project started by our YTT graduates in 2015 who believed in More Yoga for More People, Pay What You Wish Yoga is a donation-based class for the community. We have held classes at East Coast Park, MacRitchie Reservoir, Far East Shopping Centre, as well as Mudita Yoga, where classes are currently held every Sunday at 10.30am. Mudita Yoga is also owned by our Yoga Seeds alumni, and is conveniently located at 761A North Bridge Rd, Singapore 198729.

THE YOGA CIRCLE PROJECT

Embracing diversity & inclusion in yoga

Yoga Circle is a non-profit project dedicated to promoting inclusivity in yoga. The yoga community is brimming with love and compassion, and we hope to expand this circle of love and compassion to people who find it otherwise challenging to gain access to yoga.

Yoga Circle is about embracing diversity and inclusion in yoga. We strive to bring yoga to groups with different needs, especially individuals with disabilities and the under-privileged communities, by creating a strong network of yoga practitioners that support inclusivity in yoga.

BISHAN PARK FAMILY YOGA

A free monthly outdoor class for the community

Every second Sunday of the month, the Yoga Seeds team hosts a free outdoor family yoga class held in Ficus Green, an open field event space just a stone's throw away from the Yoga Seeds Shala. The intention of this project mirrors our other Karma Yoga Projects - bringing yoga to everyone in an accessible manner. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know and support the Bishan/Ang Mo Kio community. This class is open to all - regular practitioners, newcomers, children, even your pets!

YOGA GIVES BACK

For the cost of one class, you can change a life

Yoga Gives Back mobilizes practitioners worldwide to channel their gratitude into empowering India's women and children, creating sustainable lives. In the last fifteen years, Yoga Gives Back has spread globally with 150 Ambassadors who are yoga teachers sharing YGB’s mission with their communities as well as raising funds with their events. Our founder and lead trainer Wendy Chan was the first YGB Ambassador in Singapore, and is a member of the Global Ambassador Leadership Circle. She was named Ambassador of the Year in 2017, and continues to lead fundraising events held at Yoga Seeds, in support of Yoga Gives Back and its meaningful cause. She has since been joined by two more Yoga Seeds teachers, Angie Kang and Meiyan Cheong, who are Yoga Gives Back ambassadors as well.
