CLAUDIA MARROT / Yoga Instructor
Claudia sees herself as a yoga student for life. Growing up and working in a corporate job in France, she started yoga as a way to manage her weight. Eventually, she realised that what she gained through yoga was so much more, as it helped her find a way to understand and accept her body.
Her style of teaching and practice follows 3 main principles: to have fun, embrace challenges and cultivate a safe environment in class. She believes in having fun, because yoga doesn’t need to be too strict and serious, since daily situations in life are enough for that. Being open to challenges, we can find there is always a way to explore further in the practice, even for simple poses. Claudia believes in taking care of the body and safety is of utmost importance in practice, being mindful not to push too hard or become too competitive.
Currently living in Singapore, Claudia became a Yoga Alliance RYT200 yoga teacher in 2018 through the Yoga Seeds Teacher Training programme in order to share what yoga brings to her everyday: a feeling of well-being in the mind and body. She believes strongly that yoga is for everybody! A yoga student for life, she constantly looks for ways to improve her practice and teaching skills, having completed Yin yoga training with Yoga Adelaide and Aerial yoga training by ULU Yoga as well. Claudia likes combining her hatha practice with the yin style, creating a good balance. A bonus for her is when she can bring in the hammock for practice too!

WENDY CHAN / Director, Principal Yoga Instructor
Wendy’s background and interest in eastern and western philosophy led her to explore and study the workings of the mind, body and subtle energies of the universe. This led her to realise her true calling: to teach and share yoga and meditation. With diverse trainings in yoga and meditation in different traditions, Wendy seeks a balanced and complete view of one’s practice and spiritual development.
Founder and director of Yoga Seeds, Wendy hosts yoga retreats, trainings and workshops in locations all over Asia. She is also the lead trainer and program director for Yoga Seeds 200hr Teaching Training course. In Singapore, she teaches in various settings, including corporate yoga classes, yoga for children, private yoga sessions and regular studio sessions. In fact, she teaches anywhere that she can unroll her mat! An ambassador for Yoga Gives Back, she organises regular fundraisers and classes for charity and is deeply committed to giving back to the community. Her style of yoga is a unique blend of Classical, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, with emphasis on the breath in both movement and stillness.

BRYAN NG / Yoga Instructor, Yoga Anatomy Trainer
Bryan is an Osteopathic physician who currently runs his own private practice, The PainFree Clinic, at the Novena Medical Center. (https://www.thepainfreeclinic.com.sg/)
On top of his vast experience in the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal pain and injuries, he is also a certified yoga instructor after having gone through rigorous yoga teacher trainings with several highly respected yoga and meditation teachers, who strongly inspired him on his yoga journey.
His passion to delve into the study of osteopathic medicine, after completing his first two yoga teacher training programs, was in fact propelled by his desire to cultivate mental steadiness in his students through the integration of healthy body alignment and breath awareness.
With his practical understanding of the human anatomy and movement, combined with his nurturing love for yoga, he hopes to ride on this lifetime interest to help people integrate their body and mind.

GWEN TEO / Yoga Instructor, Retreat Leader
Gwen has always had an active lifestyle, even when she had to juggle motherhood, full-time work and cope with the challenges of the modern corporate world. Upon sustaining injuries from her regular running, she realised she needed a more balanced approach to health and fitness. Her first yoga experience convinced her that yoga is exactly what she needed to achieve that balance.
After more than ten years of practicing yoga on and off as a way to complement her running and fitness regime, she decided to take on yoga teacher training to deepen her understanding and share yoga with the people around her. She has seen first-hand how proper conditioning through yoga is able to help people with common joint pains, and she hopes to do the same through teaching yoga.
Gwen teaches basic Hatha classes with emphasis on building strength and flexibility, cultivating calmness in body and mind, both on and off the mat.

Jasmine’s first yoga class happened in late 2010 where she was facing immense stress and unsuccessful coping strategies. Consistent practice in yoga allowed her to cope better and in the last 3 years, she was inspired further to deepen her practice in yoga and would like people around her to benefit from the beauty of yoga.
Jasmine wants to motivate people in getting connected to their inner self and explore their mental and physical capabilities through their consistent yoga practice. She also looks forward to helping students cope with their lifestyles at work or at home through the power of pranayama, meditation and asanas practice.

Joanne started her yoga practice only as a form of workout to boost her immune system as she was leading a rather sedentary lifestyle. Having dance as her co-curricular activity throughout her school days, and being a biology teacher in her early career, she naturally grew attracted to yoga.
Through consistent practice, she saw a significant improvement in her health and state of mind. Yoga became more than just a workout – it became part of her lifestyle. With healthier body, mind and soul, she has all the energy she needs to do the things she loves – travel, teach, cook and of course, yoga!
When she was exposed to deeper wisdoms about yoga, she was inspired to deepen her own practice and took up her first 200-hr yoga teacher training. She has enjoyed teaching and sharing the benefits of yoga ever since her graduation. As a student, she believes strongly in enjoying her practice on the mat, and this translates into her encouraging demeanour in her classes.

MELODY TAN / Yoga Instructor
Melody’s yoga journey started ten years ago when she was invited by her friend to try out hatha yoga at the community centre near her house. Realising Yoga includes various types of pranayama and meditation to work also on the well-being of the mind, she started to engage in yoga as a way of complementing her other fitness regimes. During times of grief and sadness, she tried simple pranayama and meditation and experienced its benefits both mentally and spiritually. Her yoga practice taught her to embrace imperfection when it comes to challenging postures, reminding her to be patient and to never give up.
Melody took a 200hr yoga teacher training in 2015 to share yoga with people around her. She often practices karma yoga by being involved in charity activities. Yoga isn’t about flexibility and looking cool, it’s about being yourself on your mat, connecting your breathing, letting go of ego, focusing on your practice and getting closer to experiencing your inner self. Melody believes that learning and practicing yoga is a lifelong journey.

As a former project executive in a digital marketing agency, Yihan turned to yoga as a form of stress relief. Besides showing her the beauty of living in each moment, she has also seen tremendous improvement in her strength and flexibility through yoga.
To her, yoga is a union of physical, mental and spiritual practice. Intrigued to find out more about this traditional holistic practice, she took up the 200Hr Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Seeds. She finds her calling in sharing this holistic practice to more people, bringing the art of mindful breathing and mindful movement to them. Today, yoga is more than just a 1-hour physical workout to Yihan, it is a lifestyle. She believes that our lives can be so much more than chasing material wealth, and often seek opportunities to broaden her knowledge in her areas of interest.
Yihan believes that yoga is for everyone, ranging from first-time yoga practitioners looking for an hour of break from their hectic schedule, to gym-goers looking to relieve their muscle tensions, and intermediate/advanced practitioners looking to deepen their practice. As long asone is mindful, one will benefit from practice.
