About Krisa Qiu
Krisa is a certified facilitator in Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), a program by Center for Trauma and Embodiment at Justice Resource Institute (JRI) United States and has been facilitating regular TCTSY programs for both adults and adolescents from 2019. She has founded a private practice where she combines her expertise in regression therapy, trauma education, and bodywork, all enriched by her extensive involvement in yoga. These combined experiences have significantly shaped her approach to self-discovery and transformation.
Krisa's commitment to therapy revealed the profound power of collective healing. She participated in group therapies, such as Identity-Oriented Psychotrauma Theory (IOPT) and Family Constellations, inspiring her to create group programs for Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. This process not only allowed her to hold space for others but also enabled her to reclaim lost aspects of her own identity. To further her knowledge, Krisa returned to school as an adult learner, earning diplomas in Regression Therapy, Inner Child Therapy, and Hypnotherapy. Her passion for the resilience of the human spirit deepened as she witnessed so many endure and overcome their wounds with courage.
“Many times our answers are within. I too, was constantly seeking for external validation, when true joy lies within. My dharma (duty) is to give back so that others can also discover completeness within themselves. When that happens, total health – physical, mental, social and spiritual health naturally follows.”
